Panther Music Mentors is offering free music tutoring again this summer!
Peninsula High students are volunteering to give beginning lessons to PVPUSD students ages 9 and up (as of June 18, 2019)!
Our program runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2-3pm and 3-4pm from June 18 to July 25 (6 weeks). Lessons are 1 hour long and are small groups (about 3 students per tutor), except for piano (private 30 minute sessions) and voice (larger groups). Lessons will take place at the Kelly Johnson Field House on the west end of the Pen High campus, 27118 Silver Spur Rd. Rolling Hills Estates CA 90274.
Students must bring their own instrument (except piano and drums). Amuse Music usually rents instruments for a very reduced price (about $20 last year) for the 6 weeks of the program. Mention that your student will be tutored as part of the high school program! Thank you, Amuse!
While our program is free, donations to support Peninsula High Music Boosters are gratefully accepted here.
We also ask that parents help man the check in table for at least one hour.
Because our tutors are volunteer high school students (not adult pros!) , we can only accept students who have the maturity to actively participate, meet age/level requirements, and attend a PVPUSD school.
Please register below. A link to choose your time slots and volunteer at check in will be emailed about 5 days before the program begins. The lesson schedule is made in 2 week increments. A weekly limit of lessons will be enforced (usually 2 lessons per week per child) so everyone can benefit from the talents of our volunteers!
