Marching Band/Color Guard Summer Practice is mandatory. Marching Band/Color Guard Practice is the foundation of the Field Show. Field maneuvers are planned during the summer and are charted for the exact number of participants attending the practice; therefore, attendance is necessary and required. The primary goal of the Marching Band/Color Guard Practice is the coordination of music, marching, and field maneuvers for the Field Show.
Summer Band Practice will be Aug 6-10, 2018 from 9am to 4pm
Along with their instruments/equipment, students are asked to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and hats for protection from the sun AND RE-USABLE WATER BOTTLES.
On the last day there will be a Band Bash Potluck following practice.
Uniform fittings for the Marching Band 'formal' performance uniforms will be held during PVPHS Registration.
Reminder: A physical exam is required for Marching Band and Color Guard and should be completed prior to Summer Practice. A link to the form is available above. * A new physical is required each school year. For color guard, if you turned in a physical at tryouts for the upcoming school year, you are done.
* Please bring the Membership Form and Uniform Size Form (see link above) with you to practice ASAP so we can order the warm-ups and stand uniforms in a timely fashion. Thank you.
Don't forget-- GET YOUR PHYSICALS DONE THIS SUMMER. They are required for Band and Color Guard summer camp. A link to the form is provided below.
As you look ahead to your summer vacation plans, please try to return in time for Summer Band Practice. The Marching Corps students, who work as a team, will be learning a new field show routine and new music, so everyone's presence is important as they get ready for the start of the Fall football Season. Your effort to be here for practice is sincerely appreciated.
