Marching Band/Color Guard Summer Practice is mandatory. Marching Band/Color Guard Practice is the foundation of the Field Show. Field maneuvers are planned during the summer and are charted for the exact number of participants attending the practice; therefore, attendance is necessary and required. The primary goal of the Marching Band/Color Guard Practice is the coordination of music, marching, and field maneuvers for the Field Show.
Summer Practice will be August 14 - 18 2017 (9 AM – 4 PM) at Peninsula High School. Along with their instruments/equipment, students are asked to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and hats for protection from the sun AND RE-USABLE WATER BOTTLES.
On the last day there will be a Band Bash Potluck, August 18 (4 – 7 PM) following practice.
Uniform fittings for the Marching Band 'formal' performance uniforms will be held during PVPHS Registration on August 21st.
Reminder: A physical exam is required for Marching Band and Color Guard and should be completed prior to Summer Practice. Form will be posted during the summer on the PVPHS Music Boosters website.
* A new physical is required each school year. For color guard, if you turned in a physical at tryouts for the upcoming school year, you are done.
* Please bring the Membership Form and Uniform Size Form with you to practice to help us get the information ASAP to facilitate ordering and getting the warm-ups/stand uniforms in a timely fashion. Thank you.
